Basic Sciences Research

 

Basic sciences research is helpful for providing ground in order to design human studies such as clinical trials, developing medications, treatment methods, etc.

They can also clarify the efficacy and adverse effects of suggested hypothesis and interventions. At EMRI, several research centers focus on such studies in the field of endocrine-related diseases.

 

Recent basic science projects are as follows:

  • The effects of Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG in diabetic Zebra fish

  • Genetic assessment of suspected MODY patients and definition genetic panel for this disease

  • Genomics and transcriptomics profiling of responsiveness papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) to radioactive iodine and repeated unresponsiveness refractory PTC

  • A systematic review on models represented for chemical structures and functional groups effective on inducing the sweet taste

  • Investigating the impact of atomic interactions of ligands with receptor and water solvent in physiologic condition on the diversity of sweet taste receptor-agonist interaction pattern

  • Transfer of human braf gene to zebrafish by sperms transfected with constructs condensed on magnetic nanoparticles: an endeavore to establish zebrafish thyroid cancer models

  • Unfolding study by molecular dynamics simulation on alpha-helical peptides exposed to high temperature

  • Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of novel phthalimide-Schiff base-coumarin hybrids as potent α-glucosidase inhibitors

  • Design and synthesis of new imidazo [1, 2-b] pyrazole derivatives, in vitro α-glucosidase inhibition, kinetic and docking studies
