Iran Holds Comprehensive Training Course on Diabetic Foot Care

The Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute at Tehran University of Medical Sciences recently concluded its 7th Diabetic Foot Care Skills Training Course. This intensive two-week program aimed to equip healthcare professionals with the latest knowledge and practical skills to manage diabetic foot ulcers effectively.

The course covered a wide range of topics, including the physiology of diabetic feet, risk factors, diagnostic methods, treatment options, and patient education. Participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on workshops, learning advanced wound care techniques and best practices for preventing complications.

"Diabetic foot ulcers pose a significant threat to the health and quality of life of millions of people worldwide," said Dr. Mohammad Reza Amini Director of the Diabetic Foot Research Group. "This training course is designed to empower healthcare providers with the tools they need to prevent, diagnose, and treat these complex wounds."

The course attracted a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health practitioners from across Iran. Participants hailed the opportunity to learn from renowned experts in the field and to network with colleagues.
